This lesson is designed to support student understanding of repetition. Students begin by highlighting words in a sentence that contain the trigraph "dge."
The two instructional blocks in this lesson focus on identifying repetition and explaining the reason for repetition. In the first instructional block, students select the words that are repeated within the text.
The second instructional block focuses on determining the reason the author uses repetition within the text.
Passages are intentionally built throughout the lesson to support deeper understanding and put student learning into context.
