        This lesson is designed to support student understanding of point of view. Students begin by sorting the short and long vowel sounds for letters a and i.


        The two instructional blocks in this lesson focus on identifying the point of view and deciding if the narrator is inside or outside of the story.  In the first instructional block, students identify the point of view within text.


        The second instructional block focuses on choosing whether the narrator is inside or outside of the story.


        Passages are intentionally built throughout the lesson to support deeper understanding and put student learning into context.
