This lesson is designed to support student understanding of the editing process as it relates to using the correct form of adjectives. Students begin by identifying words as either adjectives or adverbs.
The instructional block in this lesson focuses on editing adjectives. Students first examine comparative and superlative adjectives. The lesson progresses as students are expected to find and correct improper adjectives in a variety of passages.
Passages are intentionally built throughout the lesson to support deeper understanding and allow students to practice the skill in context.
