This lesson is designed to support student understanding of the editing process. Students begin by completing sentences by selecting the correct homophone. Students then look at how different tenses can be used by authors in the stories that they write.

The instructional block in this lesson focuses on editing irregular verbs. Students identify and correct errors in the irregular verbs that they find in passages. Students practice matching the number and tense of the passage in order correct the errors that they find.
